Under our masterful teacher Liza Hamilton, (wooliza.com) we ended our 14 week felting class a few weeks ago. We learned to needle felt small animals and then did a lot of wet felting–felted vessels, no seam pouches and purses, booties, hats, and even geodes. At the last class, we brought in some of our favorite finished pieces. Some examples of my very talented fellow classmates are below. Their creativity was amazing and so inspiring.
Even though our felting class is over, some of us have decided that we want to continue to get together to do some felting. There’s something very special about creating in a group. We share ideas, techniques and wool. We are inspired by each other’s work. We work hard, we laugh, we have fun.
And in the end we can look back on what we made and feel satisfied and proud. Thank you Liza!
